About Critic

Two years ago, I moved from the west coast to Boston and created MyEstablishmentDiet.com, a blog that casually critiques various food establishments in Boston and surrounding areas. The process has been an excellent way to familiarize myself with the city and I hope it can do the same for you. I have an affinity for contemporary American cuisine, but am willing to try anything- as long as it is vegetarian.

I’m always looking for restaurants that provide top-notch service, quality cuisine, an enjoyable atmosphere, and agreeable prices all at an easily accessible location. It’s a lot to live up to, I know. And when it comes to grading cuisine, I’m rather picky. An A+ (the best rating I give) means that the restaurant proved superior in each category (service, food, atmosphere, price, accessibility) over an extended period of time. Being a vegetarian (sometimes a vegan, and occasionally a raw foodie) since 2004 has made keeping up with my establishment diet (I probably dine out for 45% of my meals) a no easy task. Keep reading to find out which Boston-based restaurants are food-restriction and wallet friendly.

I’m a writer and editor who has worked in the fields of publishing, marketing, and nutrition. Photos are my own. Find me on Twitter, Facebook, and Pinterest to learn more. Please contact MyEstablishmentDiet@gmail.com for further questions or suggestions.

If I had to choose my last meal on Earth, it would be smoked gouda mac & cheese, 2006 Napa Ovid, and berry sorbet.

  1. Nice, clearly written post. Really like that you put parking info in the review, too many don’t. I’m going to try Ole Mexican Grille next time I’m in the area!
